On 10 September, The Knights of Malta Club held a Chivalric Soirée bringing together two essential dimensions of its mission: gratitude towards those who have served culture and knowledge, and a commitment to the values that ought to shape the future.

The evening honoured the memory of HE Prof. Dr. Emerita Monica BOTTEZ, a former Honorary Member of the Club, a distinguished university professor and a renowned researcher. In the year in which she would have celebrated her 80th birthday, the Club paid tribute to her intellectual contribution, educational vocation and human distinction. Having passed away on 24 August 2025, Professor BOTTEZ remains a figure of reference for all who value rigour, culture and nobility of spirit.

The evening also saw the presentation of the CODEX AUREUS VIRTUTUM, the charter underpinning the Gala of Excellence of the Eight Chivalric Virtues, scheduled for December.

The Codex places eight fundamental reference points at the heart of this initiative: Faith, Honour, Justice, Courage, Integrity, Loyalty, Compassion and Respect. These are not merely declared values, but living criteria for recognising people and initiatives that contribute, through action and character, to the good of the community.

IN THE SERVICE OF FAITH, CULTURE, AND HUMAN NOBILITY!
